Ingredients
- LENTILS
- 1 cup lentils
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 beef boullion cubes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- MEAT MIXTURE
- 1/2 lb browned lean ground beef or mild Italian sausage
- 3/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced

Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 45mins
Preparation
Step 1
Bring all lentil ingredients to a boil and simmer for 20 min.
Combine all meat ingredients in a large frying pan.
Simmer until vegetables are tender.
Add cooked lentils to meat mixture.
Stir and heat through
Serve over plain rice.
