Ingredients

    pounds fresh or frozen large shrimp

  • 8

    ounces dried angel hair pasta

  • 1/4

    cup butter, melted

  • 1/4

    cup olive oil

  • 6

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/8

    teaspoon crushed red pepper

  • 2

    tablespoons snipped fresh parsley

  • 1

    teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel

  • lemon wedges (optional)

Directions

Thaw shrimp, if frozen. Peel and devein shrimp, leaving the tails intact if desired. Rinse shrimp; pat dry with paper towels; set shrimp aside. In a large pot cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Return pasta to pot. Meanwhile, in a large skillet heat butter, olive oil, and garlic over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, salt, and crushed red pepper to skillet. Cook and stir about 3 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Stir in parsley and lemon peel. Add shrimp mixture to pasta in pot; toss to combine. If desired, serve shrimp mixture with lemon wedges.
