Apple Pie, Easy Cheesy

Ingredients
- 1 . 4 lbs apples
- 2 . 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 . 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 . 1/2 cup butter
- 5 . 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 6 . 14 oz packaged pie crust
- 7 . 1 egg white

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat overn to 350 degrees. Peel apples and cut into 1/2 inch thick wedges. Toss apples with cinnamon and 3/4 cup granulated sugar. Melt butter in a 10 inch cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and cook stirring constantly for 1 to 2 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and place 1 piecrust in skillet over brow sugar mixture. Spoon apple mixture over piecrust and top with remaining piecrust. Whisk egg white unnti foamy. Brush to of piecrust with egg white and sprinkle with 2 tbsp granulated sugar. Cut slits in top of crust. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour until golden brown and bubbly. Cover top with aluminum foil for the last ten minutes to prevent excessive browning, if necessary.
