Ingredients
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 1 1/2 cups Walnuts
- 3 cups Flour
- 3 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 4 lrg. Eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. Cloves
- 3 tbsp. Milk
- 3 cups Grated Carrots
- 1 cup Oil
- 6 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1/3 cup Butter or Margarine
- 3 1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 tsp. Milk

Preparation
Step 1
Chop 1/2 cup Walnuts fine.
Grease 3-9" round pans.
Sprinkle each with 2 1/2 tbsp. of fine chopped walnuts.
Chop remaining walnuts coarser-set aside.
Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt-set aside.
Beat together sugar, eggs, oil and spices.
Beat on high until light and well blended.
Add 1/2 of flour mixture, blend.
Add milk and remaining flour. Mix well.
Stir in carrots and chopped walnuts.
Pour into pans.
Bake 350-25 mins or tests done.
Cool in pans 10 mins. then on rack.
When cold, frost with butter cream or cream cheese frosting.
Frost just tops of layers.
Decorate with walnuts.
