Ingredients

  • 1 tbs butter
  • 4 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and cut into thin wedges
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple brandy, Brandy or apple juice, divided
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 1oz sliced stale cinnamon-raisin bread
  • 1 1/4 frozen whipped topping, thawed

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a large nonstick pan over medium heat.
Add the next 8 ingredients.
Stir well.
Cover and cook 4 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and cool.
Brush remaining 2 tbs brandy evenly over both sides of bread; cut each slice into 6 cubes.
Arrange 3 bred cubed in the bottom of each glass.
Top each with 2 tbs whipped topping.
Spread 1/4 cup apple mix even over each parfait.
Repeat layers and top each parfait with whipped topping.
