Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 2 bananas, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 2 T orange juice
  • 1/4 C rum
  • 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream

Step 1

Heat wide and shallow saute pan over medium heat. Melt butter in pan and add bananas and brown sugar. Saute for 1 to 2 minutes until bananas are slightly cooked and brown sugar is melted. Add lemon juice and orange juice and bring to simmer. Off the flame, add rum. Return pan to flame and give it a quick shake to splash rum about and cause it to burst into fames. Swirl pan for a minute more and then pour contents over 2 dishes of ice cream and serve immediately.
