Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive, canola or soybean oil
  • 1 cup uncooked wild rice
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (4 oz)
  • 4 medium green onions, thinly sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup Real Bacon bits

Preparation

Step 1

1) In 10-inch non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
2) Add wild rice, mushrooms, & onions; cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until onions are tender.
3) Stir in water, salt & pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat.
4) Cover; simmer 40-50 minutes or until rice is tender.
5) Drain if necessary. Stir in bacon bits.
