Ingredients
- Bread:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 T sour milk or butter milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups finely chopped apples
- Topping:
- 3 T butter
- 3 T flour
- 3 T cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
Cream 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar. Add 2 eggs and dissolve 1 tsp baking soda in 2 T sour milk or butter milk.
Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups flour and 2 cups finely chopped apples. Mix and place in bread pan.
Combine topping ingredients and spread over loaf. Bake 1 hour in moderate oven (325-350 degrees) or until done.
