Ingredients
- Crumb Topping:
- 1 cup pie cherries
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsps. Minute Tapioca
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- almonds for decoration

Step 1
For the cherry filling, heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients and let stand for 15 minutes. Turn into a 9-inch pie crust.
For the crumb topping, combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Top pie and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Add sliced almonds and bake for 5 minutes longer.
