German Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • Add:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • Beat until fluffy.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • Add:
  • 4 cups thinly sliced apples (any kind) (I used Gala’s)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans)

Preparation

Step 1

Batter will be thick!! Bake in 9” x 13” pan at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

FROSTING
2 small 3 oz. pkgs. cream cheese (I used 6 oz. of an 8 oz. pkg,)
2 cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Sprinkle top of frosting with more chopped nuts, if desired.
