Ingredients

  • 3 strips *Drier's* bacon
  • 1/2 small yellow onion,diced
  • 1 10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup
  • 1 soup can whole milk
  • 1 16 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 t. dried thyme
  • 1/2 t. dried basil
  • 1/8 t. dried oregano
  • salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a med. saucepan, fry bacon untl crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels. Spill off all but 2 t. fat.
Add onion to bacon fat and cook over med. heat until tender. Add tomato soup, milk, drained tomatoes, and seasonings. Heat to a simmer. Remove bay leaf.
Crumble bacon and add to soup adjust seasoning Serve Hot.
