Ingredients

  • 5-6

    lbs.peaches

  • 1

    T cinnamon

  • ¾

    t nutmeg

  • ¼

    t cloves

  • Batter:

  • 1

    C sugar

  • ½

    C butter

  • C milk

  • 2

    C flour

  • ½

    t salt

  • 2

    t baking powder

Directions

Peel and pit peaches cut into 1: slices, turn into large bowl and set aside. In small bowl mix spices and sprinkle over peaches then mix. Spoon into 3 qt. baking pan. Prepare batter and spread evenly over peaches until covered. Prepare crisp topping: 1 C sugar 2 T cornstarch Sprinkle topping over batter. Sprinkle water over topping until it's wet. Bake 350 for 1 hr. Check batter w/tester. When clean remove from oven.
