Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 12 strawberries sliced

Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in milk, egg and butter. Stir only to dampen flour. The batter should not be smooth
2. Spoon into buttered muffin cups (or use papers) 2/3 full
3. Press strawberries into batter point side up. Sprinkle each muffin with 1 tsp sugar
4. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-18 minutes
