Ingredients
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 tbs of light corn syrup
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 12 slices of Italian bread
- 2 apples - peeled - sliced
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. whole milk
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and cook/stir until thick - pour in greased 13x9 pan - top with half the pecans - single layer of bread and pecans - arrange apples and remaining bread on top -
Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and nutmeg. Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate over night. Remove from fridge 30 minutes 30 minutes before baking
Cook at 350 for 35-40 minutes
** Sauce - 1/2 c. brown sugar - 1/4 c. butter, 1 tbs light can syrup - heat in saucepan.
