  • chicken wings, as many as you wish
  • soy sauce, enough to cover wings in a plastic bag but make sure to measure carefully
  • sugar, same amount as soy sauce
  • oil
  • garlic powder

Step 1

Cut chicken wings at joints and discard tips or save for another use. Place wing pieces, soy sauce and sugar in a large resealable plastic bag. Marinate for at least 30 minutes but preferably overnight, turning over occasionally. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease baking pan with oil. Arrange wing pieces in a single layer, pouring some liquid on top. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Bake for 45 minutes, turning once after 20 minutes. Alternatively, preheat oven to 450F and bake for 15-20 minutes, turning once midway through cooking time.
