Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 cans (14 1/2 ozs. each) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cans (10 3/4 ozs. each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 pkg. (8 ozs.) cream cheese, cubed

Step 1

In saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in tomatoes, soup, milk, sugar, basil, paprika and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in cream cheese until melted.
