mom's blackberry cake

Ingredients

• 2 sticks butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups berries and juice
• 3 1/2 cup flour
• 3 t. baking soda
• 1 t. cloves
• 1 t. cinnamon
• 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
• icing
• 1 stick butter
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup milk
• conf sugar

Preparation

Step 1

cream together butter and sugar..add eggs..add berries.. add dry mixture alternately with milk.. put in 3 8 inch greased and floured cake pans...bake 350* 30 min... icing...melt butter and brown sugar in pan..cook 2 min. . add milk and cook to boiling..remove from heat and add conf sugar..probably less than a box..which is 4 cups...
