Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar( depending on tartness of apples)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • lemon juice to taste
  • 3 or 4 lbs. of apples sliced thin
  • topping
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1


Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Line 9 or 10 inch pie plate with pie dough. Add apple mixture. Set aside & prepare topping. blend 1/4 cup flour & 1/2 cup brown sugar . cut in 1/3 cup butter or margarine & add 1/2v cup chopped walnuts. Put topping on apple mixture & bake at 425 for 45 to 60 minutes
