Mom's Lazy "Stuffed" Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup rice, uncooked
  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 soup cans water

Preparation

Step 1

Parboil cabbage 3 - 4 minutes. Drain.

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Stir in uncooked rice. Season with salt and pepper.

Place 1/2 cabbage in 13 x 9" pan. Top with 1/2 ground beef/rice mixture; repeat with another layer of cabbage and then beef/rice mixture.

Mix water and soup. Pour over mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees, 1 1/2 hours.
