Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 pkg. lemon cake mix
  • 1-3 oz. pkg. lime gelatin
  • Topping:
  • 1-1 1/2 oz. env. whipped topping mix
  • 1 pkg. instant lemon pudding mix (4serving size)
  • 1 1/2 C. cold milk

Step 1

Cake:
In a 2 cup measuring cup or larger, dissolve gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cold water; set aside at room temperature. Mix and bake cake as directed on the box in a 9x13 pan. Cool cake 20 to 25 mins. With cake still in the pan and warm, poke deep holes through top of cake with a meat fork; space holes about 1" apart lengthwise. Slowly pour gelatin mixture over cake. Refrigerate cake while preparing topping.

Topping:
Blend whipped topping mix, instant pudding mix and cold milk in a chilled deep bowl and beat until stiff, 3-8 mins. Immediately frost cake. Cake must be stored in the refrigerator and served chilled.
