Firecracker Grilled Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cut canola oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tsp. dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. cornstarch

Step 1

Marinade:

In a medium blowl whisk together all ingredients, except water and cornstarch, until well blended

Place thawed prk chops into a shallow glass dish. Pour marinade over pork chops. Cover dish and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours.

Remove pork chops from marinade; reserving marinade. Grill pork chops over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time.

Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix water with cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.

Pour reserved marinade into a small sauce pan. Heat over high heat until boiling. Reduce heat to medium and add dissolved cornstarch, stirring frequently until marinade returns to a boil.

Serve sauce over pork chops.
