Macaroni & Cheese- Passover

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, divided
  • 3 1/2 c. matzah farfel (6 matzahs)
  • 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1 c. milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 -3/4 stick butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Grease a 2 qt. casserole.
Bake 45 minutes.

1. Beat 2 eggs well & pour over farfel.
2. Beat remaining egg with a whisk.
3. Stir in milk, salt & pepper.
4. Layer in casserole- 1/2 matzah farfel, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 sour cream, 1/2 the butter.
5. Repeat.
6. Pour milk mixture over the top.
7. Cover & bake 30 minutes.
8. Remove cover & bake 10-15 minutes more until brown on top.
