Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 t. baking sode
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. peeled, cored, and finely chopped apple
  • 1/4 c frozen egg product, thawed
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/4 c. applesauce
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 T all purpose flour
  • 1 T whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
  • 1 T marjarine
  • 1/4 c chopped walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

1. Spray 9" round baking pan with Pam.
2. In medium bowl, combine 2/3 c. flkour, 1/2 c. whole what flour, soda, 1 t. cinnamon, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, toss together chopped apple and egg product. Stir in3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c nuts, and applesauce. Add flour mixture and stir until combined.
3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
4. For topping, stir together brown sugar, flour, whole wheat flour and cinnamon. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Stir in rest of nuts. Sprinkle topping over batter in pan.
5. Bake 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes opr until toothpick comes our clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and serve warm.
Makes 10 servings.
