Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 14 oz can tomato sauce
  • 14 oz water
  • 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef with onions. Add garlic, salt, pepper, tomato sauce and water.
Bring to a boil and stir in rice. Cover and simmer for 20 mins.
Place half the cabbage in a greased baking dish; cover with half the rice misture. Repeat layers. Cover and bake in 350o oven for 1 hour. Serve with sour cream. May be refrigerated before baking.
