Peppers 'n' Beef Skillet Supper

  • 1 T. EVOO
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground Beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices Bacon, chopped
  • 2 bell Peppers, cut into thin strips
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 15 oz. can Tomato sauce
  • 1 12 oz. Pasta

Step 1

In a large, deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the beef and garlic and cook, stirring occasionaly, until browned, 5-7 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl.
In the same skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp, 4-5 minutes; drain on paper towels. Stir in the peppers and cook until softened, 6-8 minutes. Stir in the reserved beef mixture, the tomato sauce, and 1 cup water; saeson with salt and pepper and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile cook the pasta, add the bacon to the meat mixture.
