Diana's Microwave Caramel Corn

  • 4 quarts of popcorn
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda



Step 1

Make sure all the corn is popped. Pick out any unpopped pieces.
Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt and vanilla for 3 mins. in microwave.
Stir and cook for 1 1/2 minutes longer. Remove from microwave and add soda.
Pour over popcorn in a brown paper bag. Shake. Microwave 1 min. 10 seconds. Shake, and microwave for 1 min. 10 seconds more.
Pour onto waxed paper or foil to cool.
