Non-Crumbly Corn Bread


This is a great corn bread, it is not cake-like but it is moist and delicious.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 - 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cooking time 40mins


Step 1

Melt butter, add sugar and eggs stirring well. Combine buttermilk and soda, then add to egg mixture. Add corn meal and flour and salt. Mix well and pour into greased 9" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
