Pasta with Sausage and Peppers
- 2 cups penne pasta
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 2 yellow, green, or red peppers; cut into thin strips
- 1 small onion
- 14-1/2 oz diced tomatoes
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 parmesan cheese
Cook penne pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
In large skillet, brown sausage, stirring to break up meat. Remove from
skillet and drain fat.
In same skillet, cook peppers and oonion. Add diced tomatoes, ketchup,
basil and oregano. Cover; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In large bowl, combine pasta and sausage mixture. Sprinkle each serving
with parmesan cheese.
