Puerto Rican Rice with Pinto Beans #2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove medium garlic
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 1 serving Sazon con Azafran
  • 2 cups canned pinto beans
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 2 cups uncooked white rice

Preparation

Step 1

Fry onions and garlic in olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce and Sazon. Stir and let it sit for 2 min. Add beans, water and boullion cube. Let boil. Add rice, stir and bring to boil again. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.

Check and if rice is properly cooked stir and let sit for 5 min.
