Ingredients

  • For Cake:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tblsp baking powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • For Frosting:
  • 1 8-oz. pkg cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Tblsp butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

For Cake:
Cream sugar, butter, and eggs. Add soup, water, soda, and dry ingredients. Pour into greased tube pan and bake 55 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

For Frosting:
Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugaar, butter, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Store in refrigerator until ready to frost cake.
