Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp light mayo
  • 1 Tbsp lime-juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 ripe-peeled avocado
  • 8 slices of french bread
  • 1/4 cup of pre-shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cups of chopped Romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups diced roasted turkey breasts
  • 1/2 cup of thinly sliced onions
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the first seven ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Set aside. Pre-heat broiler. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of cheese on each bread slice. Broil bread slices 2 minutes. Combine lettuce and the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Drizzle buttermilk mixture over lettuce mixture. Toss gently to coat and serve with cheese toasts
