Ingredients

  • 2 English cukes, unpeeled and very thinly sliced
  • 1 T kosher salt
  • 1/2 c white vinegar
  • 1/4 c fresh dill, finely chopped (I used dried)
  • 6 T sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Place cukes in colander. Sprinkle with salt; toss to coat. Let stand 15 mins, stirring occasionally.
Then stir vinegar, dill, sugar and pepper together in large bowl until sugar is dissolved.
Drain cukes well and pat dry. Add to dressing and stir to blend
Refrigerate at least 15 mins and up to 2 hrs.
Serve cold.
