Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 28 oz can whole tomatoes with juice
- 14 oz can kidney beans with juice
- 8 oz can SF tomato sauce
- 1 pkg dry taco seasoning mix (or make your own-see recipe under "seasonings")
- 1-2 cups water
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded LF or FF cheddar cheese
- Note...the original recipe also called for 17 oz can corn, with juice, but I omitted it to make this SB friendly. Since this decreases the liquid, I typically use the higher amount of water.

Preparation
Step 1
Brown ground meat & onions in skillet. Drain. Combine all ingredients, except the cheese, in the slow cooker. Cover. Cook on low 4-6 hours. (Mine typically cooks 8-10 hous & is still fine)
Ladle into bowls. Top each serving with shredded cheese, & serve.
