Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • Makes 6 servings
  • 3 cups sliced peaches
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Topping:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk

Step 1

1. For the filling, stir peaches with both sugars and set aside to let sugars
dissolve.

2. Heat oven to 350 degrees. For the topping, place the butter in a 2½-quart
casserole dish and set it in the oven for a few minutes until butter is
melted.
3. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Stir in milk to make a batter.

4. Pour peaches over the melted butter. Pour batter over the peaches. Bake
until crust is golden brown, 30 to 45 minutes.
