Ingredients

  • Rum Sauce:
  • 4 c chopped rhubarb
  • 3 c cubed bread
  • 1 &1/2 c milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1/4 c melted butter
  • 1/4 c chopped nuts(opt)
  • 1/4 c raisins (opt)
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 t nutmeg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 T oil
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 t nutmeg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • rum to taste(or run extract)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together rhubarb, melted butter, bread, sugar, milk, eggs,cinnamon, nutmeg , vanilla and optional nuts.
Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or till pudding sets.

Boil milk, add butter, sugar, nutmeg. Mix together as a paste, oil, flour, rum. Add to milk mixture, stir till thickened.
Let cool
