Microwave Cinnamon Applesauce

  • 6 med apples, peeled, halved, and cored
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup splenda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar



Step 1

Cut apples into 1 inch chuncks or thick slices.

Place apples in a deep microwave safe casserole dish.

Add water, lemon juice, splenda, and cinnamon to apples.

Cook, uncovered on high for 5 min. Stir, mashing apples into the liquid. Cook for an additional 5-8 min or until apples are tender. Mash apples again, mixing with liquid, until desired texture.

Stir brown sugar into hot apple mixture.

Serve hot or cool and store in refrigerate until ready to use.

Keeps about 3-4 days.
