Strawberry Cake

Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 box cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 box strawberry Jello
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1 stick oleo
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation
Step 1
1. Slice strawberries and, using a fork mash them until they resemble a puree.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3. Grease or spray three 8″ pans, or two 9″ pans.
4. Stir together cake mix and dry Jell-O powder.
5. Add oil, water, eggs and 1 cup of pureed strawberries. Mix thoroughly, about 2 minutes on medium.
6. Pour evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 18 – 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool for 10 minutes in pan then remove to cooling rack.
8. For Frosting: Combine the butter, 16 ounces of powdered sugar and ¼ cup of strawberry puree. Beat until smooth.
9. Add more sugar to reach frosting consistency.
10 Place the thickest cake layer upside down on serving plate, frost the top only to about ½ inch from the sides.
11. Repeat layers then frost the top and sides of the cake.
12. For best flavor, store cake in refrigerator.
