Apple Pie with Caramel Topping

  • Filling:
  • 2 Pie shells
  • 6 Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T. flour
  • 1/2 stick butter, diced
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 T. milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cooking time 31mins


Step 1

Preheat Oven: 350 degrees

1. Place one pie shell in pie pan, uncooked.

2. Combine: chopped apples, sugar, flour, and diced butter into the pie shell. Top the pie with second pie shell with a lattice top.

3. Bake Pie for 1 hour

4. Topping: combine all ingredients on the stove, bring to a boil and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.

5. Add topping to the pie while in the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until apples are soft and tender.
