Ingredients
- 2 c dhopped dates
- 2 c boiling water
- 2 t soda >>>>combine, let stand 24 hours.
- 1 c sugar
- 1 T melted butter
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 beaten egg >>mix into date mixture
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 t salt >>mix & add to date mixture, stir.
- Put into sprayed loaf pans (2 8X4")
- Bake 45 min @ 325.
- Cool 10 min in pans on wire rack.
- Remove from pans & cool completely.
