Broiled Banana Skewers with Yogurt Sauce

  • Yogurt Sauce:
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup lowfat or nonfat yogurt
  • 1 1/2 tsp honey

Step 1

Preheat broiler. Cut each of 2 ripe bananas into four 2-inch chunks; toss with fresh lemon juice. Thread each on a skewer. Place on a jelly-roll pan lined with foil. Sprinkle banana pieces with brown sugar, tossing to coat. Broil 4 inches from heat 2 minutes per side or until golden. Serve with Yogurt Sauce.

Yogurt Sauce: Combine yogurt and honey in cup; blend until smooth.
