Ingredients

  • 1

    egg

  • 3/4

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    cup flour

  • 1

    tsp. baking powder

  • Dash of salt

  • 1/2

    tsp. vanilla

  • 1

    cups diced apples, peeled & sauted in 1 Tbls. Butter till soft

  • 1/2

    cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Beat egg, gradually adding sugar & vanilla. Then add flour, baking powder, & salt to create a smooth batter. Fold in sauteed apples & nuts. Pour into a buttered & floured 8” square glass pan. Baked for about 30 minutes at 350°. Cut into squares & serve with caramel topping, ice cream or both.
