Simple Batter for Chile Rellenos

Chile Rellenos dipped in a simple batter are fried to a delicious crispy golden brown. Recipe is easily multiplied.

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1
Mix all ingredients and adjust consistency with extra milk until batter is the consistency of a thickish pancake batter.
Coat the chile rellenos with flour before dipping them into the batter. Drain excess batter and fry in 2 inches or so of oil at 375 °F.
