Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream

  • 1 C milk
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C chilled whipping cream
  • 2 C mashed strawberries, mixed with 1/2 C sugar



Step 1

Mix mil, sugar, salt and egg yolks in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until bubbles appear around the edge. Cool to room temperature. Stir in whipping cream, vanilla and mashed strawberries with sugar. Pour mixture in to ice cream freezer with at least a 5 quart capacity. Put dashe in place, cover and adjust crank. Use according to manufacturer's directions.
