Korean Ground Beef and Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lead ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups hot cooked white or brown rice
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large skillet cook the ground beef and garlic till no longer pink.
2. In a small bowl, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and red pepper flakes and pepper. Pour over the ground beef and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
3. Servce over hot raice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
