Ingredients
- Topping:
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- Rind of one lemon
- Juice of one lemon
- 1/3 cup sugar

Step 1
Grease loaf pan. Melt butter and add to sugar. Add eggs. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and beat well. Stir in lemon rind. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake at 350° until done.
For topping, combine lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar and spoon over top of bread while still hot.
