  • 1/3 Cup Popcorn kernels
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/3 Cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • 1/3 Cup Semisweet chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Heat the oil in a large, heavy-bottom pan. Add the popcorn kernels, cover the pan, and cook, shaking the pan vigorously and frequently, for about 2 minutes, until the popping stops. Turn into a large bowl.

Put the butter, sugar, corn syrup, and milk in a pan and heat gently until the butter has melted. Bring to a boil, without stirring, and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the chocolate chips, and stir until melted.

Pour the chocolate mixture over the popcorn and toss together until evenly coated. Spread the mixture onto a large cookie sheet.

Bake the popcorn in the oven for about 15 minutes, until crisp.

Let cool before serving.
