Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 8 cups coarsely chopped peeled tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon crushed rosemary leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups water
- 1 7 1/2 oz can tomato paste

Preparation
Step 1
In 4 qt saucepan cook onions and garlic in oil until onions are tender Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Store in tightly covered containers in refrigerator up to 1 week or in freezer up to 3 months.
