Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) box Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 box waffle ice cream cones, crushed, about 2 cups crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 (16-ounce) bag mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (not pancake syrup)
  • 1 (12 to 16-ounce) package lean bacon, cooked and crumbled/chopped (I used thick sliced)

Step 1

Generously butter a 13x9" baking dish. Set aside.

Butter a large non-stick pot, then place cereal and crushed waffle cones in it. Set aside.

In 3-qt. non-stick saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat; then add marshmallows and cook and stir until marshmallows are almost melted then stir in the maple syrup. Heat until completely melted and smooth.

Pour hot mixture over the cereal and crumbs and stir until partially combined then add the crumbled bacon and stir until thoroughly combined.

Spread mixture out evenly in the baking dish then pack it down firmly.

Allow about 2 hours for mixture to set before cutting into squares.
