Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound beans, cut into 2" pieces
  • 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup cubed unpeeled red apple

Preparation

Step 1

In pot combine beans, carrots, chives, water, sugar, thyme and salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook 5 - 7 minutes until tender-crisp.

Stir cornstarch and juice together. Stir into cooked beans. Add apple. Cook for 1 - 2 minutes.
