Ingredients

  • 1 can frozen raspberry/grape juice or other raspberry frozen drink combination. I have used raspberry/cranberry before
  • 2 1/2 cans of water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 + 1 heaping TB of cornstarch
  • 1 Tb. butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 bags of frozen triple berry mix or create your own frozen berry mix (I like to use 1 bag each, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the frozen drink mix using the 2 1/2 cans of water; set aside. IN a large saucepan, combine the sugar and the cornstarch together. Using a whisk, begin stirring the sugar and cornstarch together with a low heat under it. After the sugar mix feels warm to the touch, slowly pour in the drink mix you mixed up earlier. Increase heat to med-high and stir constantly until the mix loses it's cloudy look and begins to get thick and bubbly. When is has become fairly thick, remove from heat, and add to it the butter, lemon juice and stir for another minute. Then add all the frozen fruit. You can eat right away or store in the fridge to use later. If you store it in the fridge, you will want to heat it a little in the microwave when you take it out of the fridge.
